a)Sodium carbonate is prepared by passing carbon dioxide through ammonia that gives ammonium carbonate.

b)when ammonium hydrogen carbonate is added to a saturated solution of KCl, the potassium hydrogen carbonate formed is soluble and do not precipitate out like sodium hydrogen carbonate.

c)▪ Lithium is harder than other metals of the respective group.

▪ It has higher Melting and boiling point than other metals.

▪ It is least reactive.

▪ It is strongestreducing agent.

Unlike other metals LiCl is deliquescent and exist as LiCl.
