33. A piece of wire of resistance 20ohm is drawn out so that its length is increased to twice its original length.
Calculate the resistance of the wire in the new situation.

Answer: 40 ohm

Explanation:

Since the length of wire is directly proportional to the resistance of the wire, so when length is doubled resistance is also doubled. So resistance= 2*20 ohm=40 ohm
