  • Draw a base BC = 8 cm
  • Draw the perpendicular bisector of BC at point D
  • Taking D as a center and radius = 4 cm draw an  arc intersecting the perpendicular bisector at point A
  • join AB and AC
  • ABC is the required triangle
  • now , Draw any ray making an acute angle with BC on the side opposite to the vertex A .
  • mark 5 points on that with equal distances
  • join B_3C and draw a line through b3 parallel to
  • draw a line through C' parallel to the line AC  to intersect AB extended at A'
  • A'B'C' is the required triangle
