33..Two resistors with values of 6 ohm and 12 ohm are connected in parallel. This combination is
connected in Series with a 2 2ohm resistor and a 24 V battery. What is the potential difference and
current through 12 ohm
resistors?

Answer:
total effective resistance is = 2 + 2 + (6×12) /( 6 + 12)
= 2 + 2 + 4 = 8 ohm
total potential difference = 24 volt
so total current = 24 / 8 = 3 A
now current is same for all the resistors connected in seried so 2 ohm , 2 ohm , and resultant 4 ohm resistance have same current that's 3 A
so potential diff across resultant 4 ohm resistance( from parallel combination of 6 ohm and 12 ohm)is = 3 × 4 = 12 volt
now this we know for parallel combination voltage remain same
so voltage across 12 ohm resistor is = 12 volt
voltage across 12 ohm resistor is = 12 voltcurrent across 12 ohm resistor is = 12 / 12 = 1 A
