=> Stress = Tension / Area

=> Stress = T/A = T/piR^2

where R = radius of wire

=> 1.4 × 10^8 = 1000 × 11 / pi R^2

=> pi R^2 = 7.85 × 10^-5

=> R = 5 × 10^-3 = 5 mm

=> D = 2R = 10 mm
