of the hour is to move towards Solar Power.
Taking ideas from the hints given below, together with your own ideas, write a letter to the Editor,
The New Delhi Times, expressing your views on 'Solar Power : The Ultimate Energy Solution.
India is blessed with abundant sunlight as it lies in the sunny belt
of the world.
The country receives average global solar radiation of 5 kilowatt
hours per square meter per day.
Sunshine hours per year are between 2300-4300.
O Our total consumption is low against supply of more than 5000
trillion KWh of solar energy per year.
Solar energy is economic, renewable and environment friendly.
Technologies like solar photovoltaic (SPV) technology, photo
galvanic cells, solar system generators, solar towers, chimneys
etc. can help a lot.​
