Given : Survey of 2000 Families

650 families have 1 child,

450 families have 2 children

250 families have 4 children

rest of families have more than 4 children.

To Find : probability of having 1 child

probability of having 2 children

probability of having 3 children

probability of having more than 4 children

Solution:

 650 families have 1 child,

450 families have 2 children

250 families have 4 children

rest of families have more than 4 children.    = (2000 - 650 - 450 - 250)

=  650

probability of having 1 child  = 650/2000  = 13/40

probability of having 2 children = 450/2000 = 9/40

probability of having 3 children  = 0/2000 = 0

probability of having more than 4 children =   650/2000 = 13/40
