Let Ram age = R

Ram's wife age = W

Child 1 = X

Child 2 = Y

SOLUTION

⇒(R + X + Y)/3 = 17 {average formula sum of no./total number}

By solving it

⇒33+X+Y = 17*3

⇒X+Y = 51–33

⇒X+Y = 18 ………(1)

⇒(W+X+Y)/3 = 16

⇒W+X+Y = 48 …………(2)

Now X+Y = 18, from equy (1), putting in (2) equation

⇒W+18 = 48

⇒W = 48–18 = 30

Wife age is 30
