  • Volume at point C = V₀
  • Pressure at point C = 3 P₀
  • Volume at point D = 3 V₀
  • Pressure at point D = P₀

By applying ideal gas equation at C, D and mid point we get-

PV = nRT in which P is pressure, V is volume, n is number of moles, R is universal gas constant and T is temperature.

At point C

3P₀V₀ = nRT

At mid point

2P₀2V₀ = nRT

4P₀V₀ = nRT

At point D

P₀3V₀ = nRT

From the above data it is very clear that Temperature first increases from C to the mid point and then decreases from midpoint to D point.
