Answer:
Molar mass of sugar(C6H12O6) = 180 gm/mole
Molar mass of water = 18 gm/mole
No. of moles of sugar = given mass/ molar mass
= 342/180 mole
= 1.9 mole
No. of moles of water = 214.2/18 mole
= 11.9 mole
Molality(m) = no. of moles of solute/ mass of solvent(kg)
m = 1.9/0.2142 molal
= 8.87 molal
mole fraction of sugar = 1.9/(1.9+11.9)
= 1.9/13.8
= 0.14
mole fraction of water = 11.9/13.8
= 0.86
Hope it will help you
