 \huge \mathfrak \pink{Answer:}

Let the number be x .

Eight times of the number reduced by 10 = 8 x – 10.

Sum of six times the number and 4 = 6 x + 4.

According to the given condition,

8 x – 10 = 6 x + 4

⇒ 8 x – 6 x = 4 + 10 (Transposing 6 x to LHS and 10 to RHS)

2 x = 14

 x =  \frac{14}{2} (Transposing 2 to RHS)

 x = 7

∴ The required number is 7
