Answer:

Mole fraction of NaCl=0.1

Mole Fraction of the solvent=0.9.

So if the Solution contains 1 mole of NaCl, 9 moles of Water will be in the Solution.

So the weight of water =(9 x 18)=162 g

1000 g of the solvent contain= 1 x 1000/162 =6.173 moles of NaCl

Molality=No.of moles of Solute/1Kg of solvent = 6.173/1=6.173 m.

So molality of NaCl Solution whose mole-fraction of 0.1 is 6.173

Kindly note that the solubility of NaCl in water is 360 g /Liter at 20°C.

6.173 m NaCl Solution means (58.5 x 6.173) =361.1 g of NaCl in 1000 g of water. Such a kind of super saturated Solution can't be prepared.
