The volume is 0.037 L

Given:

Volume of O_2 gas = 35 mL = 0.035 L

Temperature of O_2 gas = 5°C = 5 + 273 = 278 K

Pressure of O_2 gas = 758 mm Hg = 0.997 atm

At NTP:

Temperature of O_2 gas = 298 K

Pressure of O_2 gas = 1 atm

Volume = ?

Solution:

On using, gas law, we get,

\frac{P 1 V 1}{T 1} = \frac{P 2 V 2}{T 2}

On substituting the value, we get,

\frac{0.997 \times 0.035}{278}=\frac{1 \times V 2}{298}

\Rightarrow 0.0001255=\frac{V 2}{298}

\therefore V 2=0.037 \ L
