35 pupils of class VIII start to plant 2 trees on day 1, 4 trees on day 2, 7 trees on day 3, 11 trees on day 4 and so on. If they continue in this way to increase the number of trees planted after each day, what will be the series of the number of trees till 10 days?

If you watch closely you can see that in day to we are planting 2 more extra trees, in day 3 we are planting 3 more extra trees than we planted in day 2,

in days 4 more extra trees than we planted in day 3.

Thus in day 5 we will plant 5 more extra trees than we planted in day 4, in day 6 we will plant 6 more extra trees than we planted in day 5, in day 7 we will plant 7 more extra trees than we planted in day 6 and so on...

Thus pupils will have planted 2, 4, 7, 11, 16, 22, 29, 37, 46, 56
