Formula of area of trapezium-:
“A = 1/2 x h (a+b)”
A = Area
H = height
(A+b) = sum of parallel sides

Given ,
Height = Distance between them =
= 8 cm
Parallel sides are 12 cm and 9 cm
To find ,
Area of trapezium
______________________________
Formula of area of trapezium-:
“A = 1/2 x h (a+b)”
A = Area = ??
H = height = 8 cm
(A+b) = sum of parallel sides = (12 + 9)
Now ,
1/2 x 8 (12+9)
= 4 x (12+9)
= 4 x 21
=84 cm^2
Hence ,
The area of trapezium is 84 cm^2

Trapezium-: A trapezium is a 2d shape
and a type of quadrilateral, which has
only two parallel sides and the other two
sides are non-parallel.
