The passengers in tenth compartments $= 51$

Explanation:

Total number of passengers are  $= 15 \times 10 = 150$

Each compartment has different number of passengers and there are 10 compartments  

So, the numbers may be $15 +14+13+12+11+10+9+8+7 = 99$  

Hence, the passengers in tenth compartments $= 150-99 = 51$
