Animals life is at stake because of this title and has always been. They had always been treated as a source of human pleasures and desires.
Hunting and poaching of animals for their skin, teeth and meat has been constant, such activities have led to the endangerment and extinction of many animals, birds and plant species.
Tigers, white lion, one horned rhinoceros, Asiatic lion, white panda are endangered species, to name a few.
Although there are many natural reserves, sanctuaries, national parks and animal shelters today (more than ever) the reckless consumption of animal products has continued and disturbed the balance in nature.
Humans don't realise that soon there will be nothing left to extract from nature if we don't control and change our way of living. We must learn to adapt to a lifestyle which is less harmful for the ecosystem and more conservative and safe for other species to thrive.
