3500 is to be shared among three people such that the first person gets 50% of the second ,who in turns gets 50% of the third person. How much will each of them get.?

Let the share of the third person be x

Share of second one = 50/100x = x/2

Share of first one = 50/100 × x/2 = x/4

ATQ

x+x/2+x/4 = 3500

4x+2x+x/4 = 3500

7x/4 = 3500

7x = 3500×4

x = 3500×4/7

x = 500×4

x = ₹2000

share of third person = x = ₹2000

Share of second person = x/2 = ₹2000/2 = ₹1000

Share of first person = x/4 = ₹2000/4 = ₹500
