inherited traits are those which a parent can pass to its progeny and is acquired by birth. ex, parent having brown hair can have their progeny with brown hair.
on the other hand, acquired traits are acquired by parent lifetime experience and cannot be passed to its progeny. ex, mouse without tail whose tail is removed with surgery will even have his progeny with tails because there is no change in DNA.
