a) Zeeman Effect -- Splitting of spectral lines in presence of magnetic field.

This is actually a limitation of Bohr Model He couldn't explain it .

b) For atomic no. 34

  • 1st write down it's electronic configuration Then you will find that the last electron would be filled in 4p.
  • For 4p
  • Value of n =4
  • Value of l= 1
  • Value of m = -1, 0,+1
  • Value of s = -1/2, +1/2
