36. An object falls from a bridge that is 45m above the water. It falls directly into a small row - boat
moving with constant velocity that was 12m from the point of impact when the object was released.
What was the speed of the boat ? (g = 10 ms?)
1) 2 m/s

SOLUTION

Time taken to reach to the boat is t.

height (h)= 45m

 =  > h = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2} \\  =  > 45 = 0 +  \frac{1}{2}  gt \\  =  >  {t}^{2}  =  \frac{45}{10}  \times 2 \\  \\  =  > t = 3 \:  \: seconds

Given,

distance travelled by boat = 12m

Time taken will be (t) which is equal to 3 seconds

Velocity= 12/3 = m/s

=) 4m/sec.

OPTION (4)

Hope it helps ☺️⬆️
