Given  :  P(4,3), Q(6,1), R(6,5). S(4,7)

To Find :

(i) Plot the given points on a graph sheet P(4,3), Q(6,1), R(6,5). S(4,7)

(ii) Join the points and name the shape formed.

(iii) Join P to R and Q to S and find the coordinates of point of intersection PR and QS.

Solution:

P(4,3),  - Go 4 unit right of origin and then 3 unit above

Q(6,1), Go 6 unit right of origin and then 1 unit above

R(6,5). Go 6 unit right of origin and then 5 unit above

S(4,7   )Go 4 unit right of origin and then 7  unit above

Shape formed PQRS is a parallelogram

the coordinates of point of intersection PR and QS.  are ( 5 , 4)
