use formula ,
M1D1 =M2D2
where M1 is the no of people initial do work , D1 no of days take by people in initial
M2 is finally no of people do work and D2 is no of days take by people in final
now,
36 x 12 = 9 x D2
D2=48
hence ,
In 48 days 9 men do same work
M1D1 =M2D2

M2 is finally no of people do work and D2 is no of days take by people in final

36 x 12 = 9 x D2
D2=48
hence ,
In 48 days 9 men do same work

Hi friend,
This is a inverse proportion question.
36 men=12 days
9 men=x days
Now let's find x,
In inverse proportion we will do-:
36*12=9*x
36*12/9=x
48=x
x=48 days.
Hence,48 days will be taken by 9 men to complete a work.
Hope it helped you..................
