Student Got=109 marks

Failed by=35 marks

Student need 36% of Maximum Marks to pass

If Student Get=109+35=144 marks

He would get 36% of Maximum Marks.

Let Maximum Marks=X

And 36% of X=144

A/Q

36\% \times x = 144 \\  \\  =  \frac{36}{100}  \times x = 144 \\  \\ x = 144 \times  \frac{100}{36}  \\  \\ x = 400

Maximum Marks We get=400

Now Check

36% of 400

=144

\boxed{\mathtt{Maximum \:Marks=400}}
