Therefore % of boys =( 100-36) = 64

Therefore,
(64/100) x N = 1440 
N = 2250
So, Total strength is 2250

                                                    =36x \100 = 9x /25

boys = 1440

according to the sum ,

1440 + 9x/25 = x 

x = 1440 + 9x /25

x - 9x/25 = 1440

x - 9x = 1440* 25

-8x = 1440* 25

x = 1440 * 25/ -8 

x = 36000/ -8

x = -4500

girls + boys 

-4500 + 1440 = -3060
