Answer:

A's previous earning = 4x = 28000

Step-by-step explanation:

let the earning of A be = 4x

the earning of B be = 7x

earnings of A increase by 50% = 4x+ 50/100 * 4x

                                                       = 4x+2x

                                                         = 6x

earnings of B decrease by 25% = 7x - 25/100*7x

                                                     = 7x - 7x/4

                                                     = 28x-7x / 4

                                                     = 21x/4

so given 6x - 21x/4 = 5250

  24x-21x  / 4 = 5250

  3x = 5250 * 4

   x = 5250 *  4/3

   x = 1750 * 4

   x = 7000

so A's previous earning = 4x = 28000
