E = Ldi/dt

20 = L 2/10²

L = 20*10²/2

L = 1000H

We have to calculate the self inductance of a coil when current in it changes by 2 A in 10² seconds and end produced is 20 volts.

solution : induced emf is given by, E = L di/dt

here di/dt = 2A/10² sec = 0.02 A/sec

induced emf , E = 20 volts

so, 20 volts = L × 0.02 A sec

⇒20/0.02 = L

⇒L = 1000 H

Therefore the self inductance of the coil is 1000 Henry.
