$\mapsto$ (x+4)(x-5) = 0

$\mapsto$ x+4 = x + 5

$\mapsto$ x+x = 5 -4

$\mapsto$ 2x = 1

$\longmapsto$ x = $\frac{1}{2}$ (or) 0.5

Let us verify that,

$\mapsto$ (0.5 + 4)(0.5-5)=0

$\mapsto$ 4.5 - 4.5 = 0

$\therefore$The value of x is 0.5 .
