Answer:

The cramps occur when muscle cells respire anaerobically. The partial breakdown of glucose produces lactic acid. The accumulation of lactic acid causes muscle cramps. We get relief from cramps after a hot water bath or a massage.

Answer:

When we run or do some activities which we are not in a habit to do (doing a lot of exercise and running a lot) then to supply the oxygen to our body anaerobic respiration takes place where energy is released in body without the presence of oxygen. In this case lactic acid forms and accumulates at one place making it pain badly. This type of situation is called Muscular cramps.

We can get relief from cramps by taking a hot baths or getting massaged on the affected body part.
