37. Zinc liberates hydrogen gas when reacted with dilute hydrochloric
acid, whereas copper does not. Explain why?

Answer:

this is because zinc is more reactive than hydrogen where is copper is less reactive than hydrogen and hence we can easily liberate hydrogen gas on reacting with dilute hydrochloric acid where as copper does not.
