Given: 371x + 197y = 545 and 197x + 371y = 23 by cross multiply method..

To Find: Value of 'x'  and 'y'

Solution:

a1/a2 = 371/197

b1/b2 = 197/371

c1/c2 = 545/23

b1/b2 = c1/c2 = a1/a2 = b1/b2

X Y 1

197/371 = 545/23 = 371/197 =  197/371

X/ 197(23) - 371(545)]

Y/ 545(197) - 23(371)]

1/ 371(371) -  197(197)

=  X/ 4531 + 202195

= Y/ 107365 + 8533

= 1/ 137641 + 38809

=   X/ 206726

=  Y/ 115898

=  1/ 176450

On comparing with 1/176450

X = 206726/176450

∴ X = ....?? you can find.....

Y = 115898/176450

∴Y = .....??you can find
