There are 1000 soldiers & 20 days

By using unitary method =

Number of soldiers Food days

1000 20

1000 - x 25

Here, by inverse variation

So, 1000× 20 = (1000 - x) (25)

= 1000 ×20/25 = 1000 - x

= 800 = 1000 - x

= x = 1000 - 800

=> x = 200
