Minimum tension in the string will be 7.04 N

Explanation:

We have given mass of the body m = 0.1 kg

Length of the string l = 5 m

Maximum tension T= 9 N

We know that when a body is revolved in a circle then maximum tension occur at the bottom which is equal to

T_{max}=F_C+mg, here T_{MAX} is maximum tension and F_C  is the centripetal force

So 9=F_C+0.1\times 9.8

F_C=8.02N

Now minimum tension will be at top of the circle which will be equal to

T_{MIN}=F_C-mg=8.02-0.1\times 9.8=7.04N
