x - y = -2   or     x - y + 2 = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope of BC = (y2 -y1) / (x2 - x1)

                     = (5-6) / (3-4)

                     = -1 / -1   = 1

Now slope of the line parallel to BC = 1

∴ equation of line parallel to BC ⇒ (y - y1) = m (x - x1)

                                                      ⇒ y - 6 = 1 (x - 4)     ⇒ y - 6 = x - 4

                                                      ⇒ x -y = -2
