•The following are the properties of Nonmetals :

•Nonmetals have high ionization energies.

•They have high electronegativities.

•Nonmetals are insulators which means that they’re poor conductors of electricity.

•They are dull, they do not have lustre like metals.

•Nonmetals are poor conductors of heat. They’re poor thermal conductors.

•They are very weak and brittle. They tend to easily break or shatter.

•Nonmetals have a low density. They’re light for their size.

•They aren’t good conductors of sound and do not make sounds when they are hit.

•They tend to gain electrons easily.

•Nonmetals maybe solid, liquids or gaseous.

•Nonmetals form acidic oxides.

•They’re good oxidizing agents.

•Generally, Nonmetals have four to eight electrons in the outer shell.

Answer:

Physical State: Non - metals can exist all three sides are solid, liquid or gases .Only one non-metal bromine is a liquid.

Ex: Carbon, Sulphur and iodine are solid Oxygen and hydrogen are gases in room temperature

Lustre: Non metals have done appearance, except iodine and graphic whose crystals are quite Lustrous.

Melting and boiling points: Non metals have low melting and boiling point .They vaporise at low temperature.

Density: Non metals have low densities . Except iodine have a higher density than the other metals.

Ductility: Non metals are not ductile acid carbon fibre.

Malleability: Non metals are not malleable in solid form I.E they break into pieces when hammered.

Brittleness: Non metals are generally brittle.

Conductivity: Graphite all non material metals are non conductors of heat and electricity so most of the non metals are used it as insulators.

Sonarity: Except for special stone on on metals are known as they produce the sound on hitting.
