so

SP= 100-d ×MP

comparing eq i and ii we get

6/5CP= 9/10MP

fing relation of CP/MP =3/4

SO

let CP =3k and MP=4k

thirdly he allows a discount of 15%

so

new SP'= 100-15/100 ×MP

= 85/100 ×4k=17/5k

so profit percent is

SP'-CP/CP ×100

(17/5k - 3k)/3k ×100

17k-15k/15 ×100

40/3%

13.33%

so the merchant will be in a profit of 13.33%
