We’re gonna look for the charge of 1g of nitride which is in coulombs,

note that

1g of Nitride (ion)=1 mole of a Nitride

Faraday’s constant is = 96500 coulombs

Faraday’s constant = 1 equivalent weight= AW/e- (e- is for the electron gained or lost)

Thus,

Convert 1 mol of Nitride to grams

1 mol x (14g/1 mol)

then multiply the results to Faraday’s constant divided by the substance equivalent weight which is represented by the equation “ AW/e-” (e- is for the electron gained or lost, in this case 3 and the atomic weight of nitrogen is 14 g/mole.

then,

x (96500 C/(14/3 g)

=289,500 or 2.895 x10^5 C
