Step-by-step explanation:

 <b> <body \: bgcolor = "pink">

area[∆ABC] =

1/2 {-4(-4+5)-3(-5-8)+0(8+4)}

= 1/2{-4+39+0)

= 35/2 unit²

area [∆BCD]= 1/2{-3(-5-6)+0(6+4)+5(-4+5)

= 1/2{33+0+5}

= 19 unit ²

area of the quadrilateral= area[∆ABC]+ area [∆BCD]

= 19+17.5

= 36.5 unit²
