Solution :

Given,

a, b ∈ IN & a < b

It says that both a and b are Natural numbers, and a is lesser than b.

[ Then, it is obvious that the square of a is lesser than the square of b, i.e., a² < b². ]

Taking reciprocals of a < b, we get

1/a > 1/b, where the less than symbol ( < ) changes to greater than symbol ( > ) for reciprocals.

∴ option B : 1/b < 1/a is correct.
