Given that,

R = 3 ohms

To find,

The equivalent resistance between A and B.

Solution,

The resistances R and R in lower branch are in series. Their equivalent is 2R. Now, 2R and R are in parallel. So, equivalent is :

\dfrac{1}{R'}=\dfrac{1}{6}+\dfrac{1}{3}\\\\R'=2\ \Omega

Finally, R, R and 3 ohm are in series. So,

R_{eq}=3+2+3=8\ \Omega

So, the equivalent resistance between A and B in the  circuit is 8 ohms.
