( 3a - 1 ) 2 - 6a + 2

= ( 3a - 1 ) ( 3a - 1 ) - 2 ( 3a - 1 )

= ( 3a - 1 + 2 ) ( 3a - 1 )

= ( 3a - 3 ) ( 3a - 1 )

= 3 ( a - 1 ) ( 3a - 1 ).

hope it helps you mate.
