3a + b + 2c = 3 … Eq. (1)
a + 3b + 2c = 1 … Eq. (2)
Subtract Eq. (2) from Eq. (1) and you get
2a - 2b = 2, or a - b = 1
Thus b = a - 1
Put this value of b in Eq. (1) to get 3a + a - 1 + 2c = 3 or 4a + 2c = 4
So. 2a + c = 2.
