 \frac{3a + 2}{3}  = 2a + 1

3a + 2 = 3(2a + 1)

3a + 2 = 6a + 3

3a + 2 - 6a - 3 = 0

 - 3a - 1 = 0

 - 3a = 1

a =  -  \frac{1}{3}
