3a+2(a-9)=6-(2a-3)

3a+2a-18=6-2a+3

5a-18=6-2a+3

5a+2a=6+3+18

7a=27

a=27/7

Here's your answer...

3a + 2 (a-9) = 6 -(2a-3)

3a + 2a -18 = 6 -12a + 18

5a - 18 = -12a + 12

5a + 12a = 12 + 18

17a = 30

a = 30 / 17
