3a-2b=11 and a+b=7 elimination by equating coefficient​

multiply the second eq by 2

then it will become 2a -2b = 14

now subtract it from eq 1

then we get a = -3

substitute the value of a in eq 1

then we will get y = -10

therefore , x = -3 and y =-10
