Answer:

a=2

b=3

Step-by-step explanation:

Eqn 1 ----->3a + 2b =12

3a = 12- 2b

a = (12-2b)/3 ......(1)

Eqn 2------->2a +3b=13.....(2)

substituting value from (1) in (2)

2(\frac{12-2b}{3} ) +3b=13\\\frac{[2(12-2b)]+ [3(3b)]}{3} =13\\\frac{24-4b +9b}{3} =13\\24+5b =39\\5b=39-24\\5b=15\\b=15/5\\b=3

now substituting value of (b) in Eqn 1

3a+2(3) =12

3a +6=12

3a=12-6

3a=6

a=6/3

a=2
