Answer:3a+5b=26

3a=26-5b

a=26-5b/3...................(1)

a+5b=22................(2)

Substituting equations (1)in (2)

We get,

26-5b/3+5b=22

26-5b+15b/3=22

26+10b=22x3

26+10b=66

10b=66-26

10b=40

b=40/10

b=4

Putting b=4in equations (1)

We get,

a=26-5(4)/3

a=26-20/3

a=6/3

a=2

There for a=2

b=4

Question:

Solve the Following Simultaneous Equation.

3a + 5b = 26;

a + 5b = 22

Step-by-step explanation:

3a + 5b = 26    ___(l)

a + 5b = 22    ___(ll)

Subtracting (ll) from (l)

2a = 4

a = 2

Putting the value of a = 2 in (ll)

a + 5b = 22

⇒ 2 + 5b = 22

⇒ 5b = 20

⇒ b = 4
