According to given sum,

=> 3a-b =4.................. (1)

=> -a-5b=-10.............(2)

Multiply eq(2) with 3 , we get

=> -3a-15b =-30.......... (3)

Adding eq(1) & (3)

=> 3a-b-3a-15b = 4-30

=> -16b = -26

=> b = -26/-16

=> b =13/8.

substitute the value of b in eq(1).

=> 3a-13/8 = 4

=> 3a=4+13/8 => 45/8

=> a =45/(8×3)

=> a= 15/8.

:-)Hope it helps u.
