3m+7n=105 and 9m-2n=108 find the value of m and n using elimination method

⠀⠀ || ✪.Solution.✪ ||

Given:-

  • 3m + 7n = 105 ..........(1)
  • 9m - 2n = 108 ............(2)

Find:-

  • Value of m and by elimination method.

⠀ || ✪.Explanation.✪ ||

Multiply by 7 in equ(2) and 2 in equ(1)

  • 6m + 14n = 210
  • 63m - 14n = 756

___________________add this (eliminate n)

➩ (6m + 63m) = (210+756)

➩ 69m = 966

➩m = 966/69

➩m = 14

Now ,keep in equ(1),

➩ 3 × 14 + 7n = 105

➩ 7n = 105 - 42

➩7n = 63

➩n = 63/7

➩n = 9

|| ✪.Verification.✪ ||

keep value of m and n in equ(2)

➩ 9 × 14 - 2 × 9 = 108

➩ 9(14-2) = 108

➩ 9 × 12 = 108

➩ 108 = 108

L.H.S = R.H.S

That's proved.
