3m x 5 m wall has a door of 2 m x 1 m, If the cost of painting is Rs.100 per 1 sq.m find the cost of painting the wall.

please give me a complete solution​

Length of wall = 3 metre

Breadth of wall = 5 metre

Therefore , area of wall = (L×B) unit²

= ( 3× 5 )m²

= 15m²

and,

Length of door = 2metre

Breadth of door = 1 metre

Therefore , area of door = (2×1) m²

= 2m²

Now , Area remains = 15 - 2m²

= 13m²

Rate = Rs.100/sq.m

Cost of 13 metre²=Rs. (13×100) = Rs.1300
